Aemilia Moser

Raised in Edmonton, Aemilia began her violin studies with James Keene at age five. Staying in Edmonton, she completed her undergraduate degree in voice and violin under the tutelage of Elizabeth Turnbull, Shannon Hiebert, and Robert Uchida.

Most recently Aemilia had the pleasure of performing Pierrot from Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire. Other notable roles include Adina in Donizetti’s L’elisir D’amore, Nymph in Purcell’s The Fairy Queen, Mab in Jonathan Dove’s The Enchanted Pig, Papagena in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, and Maureen in Johnathan Larson’s RENT, for which she won two Greater Edmonton Cappie Awards.

In July, Aemilia was the first prize winner of the CFMTA National Voice Competition, as well as a recipient of the Tiffany Wilson Best Italian Song Award. Other awards include the Opera NUOVA Scholarship Competition, the Kiwanis Music Festival Provincials, and the Alberta Baroque Music Society Scholarship at the University of Alberta in both Voice and Violin.

This fall, Aemilia moved to Winnipeg to complete an Artistic Diploma in opera, studying with Tracy Dahl and Mel Braun.
