OLIVER MUNAR Tenor
Praised for an "instantly likeable and exciting voice" with "gorgeous spinning tone", tenor Oliver Munar is in increasing demand for his versatility, clarity, and musicality, both as a soloist and as a professional chorister.
Recent solo engagements include the title role of Benjamin Britten’s Albert Herring, and as Pontius Pilate in Arvo Part’s Passio. No stranger to Alberta Baroque Ensemble audiences, Oliver was a featured soloist for Vivaldi's Gloria (RV 588), G.B. Martini's Magnificat in C minor, and the J.S. Bach cantata Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme (BWV 140).
Oliver recently earned a Master of Music degree in vocal performance with acclaimed international operatic tenor John Tessier. He aims to channel that training into a career performing Baroque, Classical and Romantic repertoire, with a specialty on the works of J.S. Bach, Handel and Mozart.
